One Friday Amushi, of Isienu Amagunze in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, is in the police net for shooting and wounding a mourner with a locally-made single barrel gun at a burial ceremony.
It was gathered that Amushi, who also attended the burial, was trying to add colour to the ceremony when the incident occurred.
The victim was driving into the venue of the burial when the gun went off.
The unnamed victim escaped death by a whisker as the bullet pierced through the windscreen of his vehicle before hitting him at the shoulder.
He was eventually rushed to the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku Ozalla, where he was responding to treatment.
