Trouble For Fani-Kayode As PDP’s Leadership Seeks His Punishment

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commenced a process aimed at punishing the Director, Media And Publicity, Goodluck-Sambo Presidential Campaign Organisation, Mr Femi Fani-Kayode, for what it called press war against the NWC.

In a statement by the National Secretary of the party, Professor Wale Oladipo, the NWC asked the Osun State chapter of the PDP to investigate the membership status of Mr Fani-Kayode.

The committee is also asking the Osun PDP to discipline Mr Fani-Kayode after a confirmation that he is a registered and financial member of the party.

According to the NWC, his actions were contrary to Section 58 (1)(b) of the Party Constitution.

“If not a member, you are to reprimand him as an usurper,” the statement read.

The committee further requested that all actions taken should be communicated to it.

In his response to the NWC’s statement, Mr Fani-Kayode questioned the rights of the party’s National Working  Committee to investigate him for anti-party activities.
