How Nigerian Soldiers Are Punishing Traffic Offenders In Abuja

In what many have termed a return to the 1980s era of President Muhammadu Buhari, soldeirs at a checkpoint at Sauka, along Airport Road, Abuja on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 forced two erring motorists to stand on top of their vehicles for breaking traffic rules.

When President Buhari ruled the country from 1983 to 1985 corporal punishment was the order of the day as military men freely whipped citizens for breaking laws.
